Counselling in Reading and Online

A safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusions that seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard

Carl Rogers

About Me

I’m an integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I provide both short- and long-term counselling, offering face-to-face sessions in central Reading as well as online therapy.

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to counselling, and go over our working agreement. Throughout our time together, I’ll check in on our progress to ensure our sessions remain helpful and suited to your needs.

My Approach

My approach is client-centered, meaning I work collaboratively with you, placing your needs and autonomy at the heart of our sessions. Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I aim to support and guide you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. I understand that opening up isn’t always easy—there’s no pressure to share everything right away. We move at your pace in a way that feels comfortable and safe for you.

Sessions & Fees

Initial Consultation

A free 20-minute phone call to discuss your needs, my approach, and whether we’re the right fit. This is not a counselling session, but more of an introduction to discuss your needs and expectations.

Ongoing Sessions

50-minute weekly sessions at £50 per session. I offer some flexibility in frequency, which we can discuss as needed.

Cancellations & Payment

I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% fee. Payment is due 24 hours in advance of each session.

Location & Availability

I offer both in-person and online counselling. My in-person sessions take place in central Reading, while online sessions are conducted via a secure video platform.

If you have any questions about fees, payment, or availability, please feel free to ask during our initial consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is what I say in counselling confidential?

Yes, counselling is confidential. However, there are some legal and ethical exceptions—if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law, I may need to break confidentiality. I will always discuss these with you in our first session.

How do I know if I need counselling?

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, experiencing intrusive thoughts, or lacking confidence, counselling may help. Our sessions provide a safe space to explore these challenges and find ways forward.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

I use an integrative approach, which means I combine different therapeutic models to best suit your needs. My main influences are:

Person-Centered Therapy: This approach is based on the idea that you are the expert in your own life. It provides a non-judgmental and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely, with me acting as a guide rather than an advisor.

Psychodynamic Therapy: This approach focuses on understanding how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By bringing these to light, we can work through them together in a way that promotes healing and personal growth.

By blending these techniques, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals.

How long does counselling typically last?

Every client is different. Some benefit from short-term therapy (6-12 sessions), while others prefer open-ended support. We’ll regularly review our progress to ensure you’re getting what you need from counselling.

Do you offer counselling for non-English speakers?

Yes! I offer counselling in both English and Greek.
